East Sussex Procurement Hub

The East Sussex Procurement Hub (ESPH) is a Procurement Service delivered by Wealden District Council creating maximum value for a partnership which includes Hastings Borough, Rother and Wealden District Councils. Collectively we spend £55m+ on goods, services and works each year. The Hub was formed in 2009 and has created revenue and savings in excess of £8million.  It also aims to create best practice across its members and make doing business with local government in East Sussex straightforward and more transparent. We also work closely with Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough Council on joint procurement exercises as detailed in our annual work programme. Our Objectives are:
  1. Achieve efficiencies and savings within the £110m per year the five authorities spend with 3rd party suppliers through joint procurement and contract management.
  2. Offer a Centre of Excellence for procurement practice for its members which is recognised at regional and national level; and
  3. Engage with local businesses and small and medium sized businesses to remove barriers to working with our members.
We will always be fair, open and transparent in our dealings with suppliers and stakeholders. These web pages are designed to provide tools and consistent information on how we procure goods, services and works for all member councils.

Current Opportunities

We operate an e-tendering system which allows efficient and cost effective procurement to be undertaken. All current opportunities to supply Hastings, Rother and Wealden Councils are listed on the SE Shared Service Portal  which also links to the national Contracts Finder database.
