Wealden Real Nappy Trial Kit

How to get started

Knowing where to start when buying reusable nappies can be the hardest part. The best way to test reusable nappies is to see and try the nappies for yourself before you commit to buy.

Wealden’s Trial Kit allows you to road test a whole range of Real Nappies on your baby at home, to find out which nappy suits you and your baby best.

The kit is available in two different sizes and contains a selection of nappies, wraps and accessories covering all nappy systems, materials and popular brands. It can be borrowed for up to four weeks. The kit is provided FREE of charge, but requires a £25 deposit which is refunded on return of the nappies. A FREE advice service is provided throughout the trial.

How will I know how everything works?

One of our Waste Management Officers will explain to you everything that is in the kit and how to use it.

When is the best time to have a trial?

This will really depend on personal preference and demand on the kits but most people, particularly if it is their first baby, like to get comfortable at home with their baby before trialling Real Nappies. The kits contain nappies that are suitable from about 4 weeks up to potty training. Due to demands on the kit, we will only be able to let you borrow the kit once your baby is born, but you are welcome to register your interest prior to the birth and we will reserve a kit for you.

The kit will be lent out to you for four weeks and it is a good idea to make sure you have time to get the most out of the trial period.

How do I get a nappy kit?

All you need to do is apply here  and we will then arrange for the delivery of the Trial kit to you by one of our Waste Management Officers who will also explain how to use the nappies. Your deposit will be refunded on return of the kit.
